SUP Race Training With BSUPA Instructors at Derwent Reservoir

Always great meeting up with SUP International Mag editor.tester Dom Moore and as he was up delivering a BSUPA instructors’ instructor course with KA Kitesurfing it seemed rude not to catch up Dom and Kev for a paddle. As they had a busy program and were off the Lakes later that day Joe travelled across to Derwent Reservoir so fly the drone and get some feedback from two very competent paddlers. Despite erring towards wider touring boards Dom was straight up on the 26” with seasoned racer Kev finding the 24” easy. It’s fair to say both were impressed by the stability and speed of both sizes although Kev would have probably preferred the 22” version. The great thing about the Motion in the larger sizes is its versatility it’s NOT just a one trick flat water board you can take it out on the ocean, downwind it and even surf it in small waves making it a fantastic and competitively priced one board race quiver!
