Laura Truelove joins Loco SUP

Laura Truelove joins Loco SUP

After  a pretty frustrating move by Tina just one month before the National Finals, we were stoked to hear Loco racer Phil May had discovered another lady prepared to push herself on the surf side of our beloved sport. After a telephone conversation it certainly seemed like Laura would be a suitable candidate to join the Loco Asylum and with no involvement in ‘competitive surfing’ it sounded like Laura would have the necessary time to push the brand forward as well as improving her skills through organised team meets and our Loco Academy.

Laura is currently studying towards an MA but has just moved to one of the UK’s SUP surfing hot spots in the Gower so she’s certainly in the right place to get inspired by the likes of Abi and Matt Barker-Smith, experienced axe wielders like Jim Richardson and some other familiar names on the SUP surfing circuit.

With student funds being tight we sent her Tina’s old Comp Pro board to get her going on a proper performance surf stick which she seems to have taken to after just a couple of weeks! Needless to say we have high hopes for Laura and look forward to seeing her blog posts and action snaps over the coming months.
