Loco SUP Rider Ambassador & Loco Paddleboard School Scheme

After another fantastic season of Loco SUP sales and product development, we’re now casting our minds forward to 2019. For those who keep up with our Facebook page or Instagram, you’ll have already seen that we’ve made some fantastic steps forward with our new hard race board, the Motion, as well as upping our game across iSUPs with the introduction of the new 17′ Motion Air Tandem and 10’5” Amigo Air, alongside producing some of the most exciting, performance-driven, and beautifully finished all-round Loco paddleboards and wave Loco SUPs with the option to add windsurfing sails and hydrofoils or both. Needless to say, it’s a great time to get involved with our 2019 Loco Paddleboard Rider, Ambassador & SUP School Scheme.

No one could have predicted the heatwave we’ve been enjoying over the last few months, and we’ve had to begrudgingly knock back numerous school enquiries as we just didn’t have enough Loco SUPs to fulfil multiple board orders and still keep our core direct customer base happy. We aim to keep all our Loco customers satisfied.

We’re pleased to announce that things will be changing for 2019, but we’re still encouraging schools and hire centres to get in touch before the 15th of October with their plans for the coming season. We’ll also price match on any volume order across like-for-like kit and can now provide Loco SUP flags and race buoys for anyone interested in enhancing their Loco paddleboard presence.

In terms of riders and ambassadors, we’ve seen some great content from many of our existing Loco SUP team over this season, but as with life, people get busy with work, family life, or only have time for so much paddling. So it is with regret we say goodbye to a few of ‘the old guard,’ but we are confident we can find similarly motivated individuals who are supportive of what we’re trying to do with the Loco brand and whose personalities embody the Loco spirit for our Loco paddleboard team.

For those unfamiliar with rider and ambassador programmes, essentially you receive a generous discount on Loco paddleboard kit, which is tiered depending on what you can bring to the party in terms of content, stoke, and/or competition results. At this stage, we’re VERY interested in the following for our 2019 Loco SUP Rider, Ambassador & SUP School Scheme:

• 14′ hard board racers both here in the UK and in Europe – all levels considered for our Loco race team.

• Outdoorsy couples who live the van life dream, travel extensively, and can produce decent photographic or video content featuring their Loco SUPs.

• Explorers who want to take their inflatable Loco SUPs everywhere and document their trips.

• Yoga or pilates instructors who are interested in extending their activities to cover Loco SUP or individuals who love doing yoga or pilates outdoors and have a solid Instagram following.

• Loco SUP instructors.

• Loco SUP schools & hire centres both here and abroad for both inflatables and hard Loco SUP boards.

• Wave Loco SUP riders and ambassadors – adults and kids.

• Hydrofoil ambassadors for Loco SUP, surfing, and kite surfing.

• Loco paddle riders and ambassadors.

• Active families who love taking photos of them having fun with their Loco paddleboards.

So what’s in it for you? Well, for those with aligned business interests or those looking to increase exposure for their paddle boarding adventures, Loco SUP are well placed to cross-promote you via our social media channels and have access to the leading magazines in terms of both articles and cover shots featuring Loco paddleboards. We will also provide you with some Loco merchandise free of charge and support our best-performing athletes with race or surf competition entry fees. All Loco paddleboards team members will have the opportunity to wax lyrical on the Loco blog, offering up their unique take on the sport with opportunity to cross-promote where appropriate.

We already have the first of the 2019 hard boards being finished in our factory, with the iSUPs following shortly after, so successful applicants will have their Loco kit nice and early to get out there competing or spreading the Loco SUP love before anyone else.
