Built to take the hit
A pump foil board gets abused in a way most boards never will. That first dock-start pump can drive several times your body weight through a tiny platform. Standard EPS constructions can crack or snap. We went another way.
The Loco Pump Hydrofoil Board is CNC-shaped from a solid high-density PVC block, fitted with proper boxes and wrapped in carbon. It is stiff, light and built for repeated hard starts—not showroom posing.
One board. Three jobs.
- Dock-start and pump foiling: compact, direct and efficient underfoot.
- Wake foiling: strong enough for repeated starts and light enough to disappear once flying.
- Kite foiling: a tiny, responsive platform with footstrap inserts when you want them.
Choose your size
36in — 14.5L: the smallest, quickest option. Best for lighter riders or experienced pump foilers who want minimal swing weight.
42in — 20L: more platform and forgiveness for bigger riders, early dock-start sessions and wake-foil use.
Why construction matters
Bigger riders were snapping conventional pump boards. That was the problem we designed around. Solid PVC gives the board a far stronger core than a standard EPS blank laminated top and bottom. Carbon keeps it rigid without turning it into deadweight.

Who should avoid it?
If you have never foiled and have no safe dock, platform or suitable learning spot, this is not a shortcut. Beach starts around rocks are a poor day-one plan. Check that your foil has clearance from posts and ladders, especially with a large front wing.
