Loco SUP leashes for surf, touring and racing
Choose a straight surf SUP leash or a coiled calf leash to suit your board and paddling environment. The straight Loco leashes use a substantial 9 mm cord, with 9-, 10- and 11-foot options available. The 12 ft 6 in and 14 ft options are coiled calf leashes for flat-water touring and race setups.

Should I use a straight or coiled leash for SUP surfing?
Choose a straight leash for surf. Coiled leashes are intended to keep the cord clear of the water during suitable flat-water touring and racing. Match the leash type and length to your board, conditions and attachment system; ask us if you are unsure.
Which SUP leash lengths are available?
The current surf options are 9 ft, 10 ft and 11 ft. Coiled calf options are listed as 12-6 (12 ft 6 in) and 14 (14 ft). Select the option to check its price and availability. The 8 ft option is currently unavailable.
How strong is the Loco surf SUP leash?
The straight leashes have a 9 mm cord for demanding SUP surfing use. No leash is unbreakable: inspect the cord, swivels, cuff and board attachment before every session, replace worn or damaged parts, and stay within your ability and conditions.
Can I wear an ankle or calf leash on a river or in tidal flow?
An ankle or calf leash can create an entrapment risk in flowing or tidal water. The RNLI recommends a suitable quick-release waist leash where there is a risk of entrapment. Choose equipment and training for your environment; these products are not a substitute for a correctly selected quick-release system.

Most of our Loco Stand Up Paddle Leashes are straight (uncoiled) and have 9mm diameters making them exceptionally hard-wearing. We’ve tested them to destruction in large swell in Fuerteventura and gale force wind and they’ve never broken (yet). Inflatables and paddles dispatch within 24 hours, and delivery takes up to 3 days, depending on location.
Hard boards are delivered the following week after collection on Fridays, with pre-arranged delivery times.
Inspect deliveries upon arrival and report any damages for courier claims.
Returns are accepted within 30 days at the buyer's expense, provided items are in unused condition and in original packaging.
